Saudi Aramco, a global petroleum enterprise, has selected Atlas Professionals to act as one of its primary providers of technical professionals for the world’s biggest integrated refineries and petrochemical complexes, Petro Rabigh.

An extraordinary project

Petro Rabigh is a partnered project between Saudi Aramco and the Japanese company Sumitomo Chemical. Saudi Aramco is one of the world’s biggest crude oil producers. They provide approximately one of every eight barrels of crude oil the world consumes every day. Sumitomo Chemical is one of the leading petrochemical companies in the world. Phase I and II

In the current project stage, Petro Rabigh I, with a daily feedstock of 400,000 barrels of crude oil and 1.2 million tons of ethane per year twelve derivatives are being manufactured. By using these raw materials, 12 derivatives are presently being manufactured. Using highly advanced technology – including High Olefins Fluid Catalytic Cracker (HOFCC) and one of the world’s biggest Ethane Crackers – the second project stage, Petro Rabigh II, aims to increase the number of derivatives to thirty.
